PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a type of programming language and is designed to create dynamic web pages. Recently it is common to make PHP code and HTML into separate files and PHP is also being run through a php-fpm (PHP FastCGI Process Manager) rather than a web server.

PHP was first created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995 and the development has continued to grow to this day. It is open source that the source code is released on the official site and can be run on almost any web server.

The strengths of the web page development such as low accessibility and easy server interworking coincided with the growing Internet environment at the time leading to the explosive development of the web service market.

According to W3Techs a web technology survey company 79.1% of the websites currently in service are using it. It is applied to more than 2 billion sites in more than 10 million physical systems.

This 8.0 version (8.0.9) was released on July 29 2021. From PHP 8.0 in 2020 processing exceptions have been strengthened including the introduction of Just-in-Time (JIT) to improve performance and unspecified variable testing. In particular JITs general application performance is comparable to PHP 7.4 showing about three times better performance in synthetic benchmarks and a 1.5 to two-fold improvement in certain applications which are operated for a long hours.

Languages such as C Python Java C++ and JavaScript at the top of the programming language rankings are all used in education. So they are in high supply and high demand. Some have high ranks as they are used for education but a wide variety of places to use the languages play a role as well as they are common languages.

PHP which was introduced today is a language that led to the Internet Boom in the past and I hope that it will continue to update in the future and receive continuous attention.
