The Rural Development Administration (RDA) led by Director Kwon Jae-han has installed sculptures of their promotional mascots Isaac and Sprout on the first floor of the main building. Created in 2008 and recently revamped these characters have been well-received.

Isaac symbolizes a hero revitalizing agriculture with the power of rice ears while Sprout is a secret agent sowing life seeds in rural areas. The sculptures measuring 1.8m in height and 1.3m in width include QR codes linking to the RDAs official SNS for easy access.

The RDAs mascots effectively communicate research achievements and information through social media with popular content like Sprouts Plant Diagnosis Journal on Instagram. RDA staff including Deputy Director Seo Hyo-won have committed to making research more accessible through these mascots.

Spokesperson Oh Ki-won stated We aim to create a bright friendly space for visitors with these sculptures promising to deliver diverse content that highlights the value of agriculture and rural areas.
