10th Aviation Literature Award... Call for Entries Starts from the 5th
Submissions Accepted Online (Aviation Literature Award Website) Until September 22... Results Announced in October
The Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport (Minister Park Sang-woo) and the Korea Aviation Association (Acting President Park Jong-heum) have announced the commencement of the 10th Aviation Literature Award competition.
The Aviation Literature Award established in 2013 aims to promote the value and significance of aviation. It is the only literary event that combines aviation with literature to share diverse experiences.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary this years competition has increased the number of awards for the general categorys grand prize and category-specific excellence awards expanding the total number of winners by four making it a total of 54 awardees.
Anyone interested can participate in the competition by submitting their entries online from August 5 to September 22.
How to apply: Download the designated form from the competition’s dedicated website → Submit the work (including personal information consent) → Upload the entry → Complete the satisfaction survey → Confirm submission
Participants can submit one work per person in one of the three categories: poetry fiction or essay on any theme related to aviation such as travel or airport episodes.
The competition is open to the general public (including university students) middle and high school students and elementary school students. Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes in each category. Additionally winners of the grand prize and excellence awards in the general category will be granted membership in the Korean Writers Association providing a valuable opportunity to debut in the literary world.
The submitted works will be reviewed by relevant experts and the final winners will be announced in October. The awards include one grand prize (Minister of Land Infrastructure and Transport Award 2 million KRW and round-trip airfare to the U.S.) category-specific excellence awards (300000 to 1 million KRW and round-trip airfare) and merit awards (150000 to 700000 KRW and round-trip airfare).
