Since its inception in 2018 with the China Intellectual Property Training Center this educational cooperation has expanded to include the Philippines in 2023 and Japan in 2024. In August 2024 a Korea-China education session was held and in November a Korea-Philippines education session is also planned.

Through this course KIPO aims to help Korean exporting companies familiarize themselves with the legal systems of their target countries to minimize violations prevent damages from IP infringements and enable foreign companies operating in Korea to comply with local laws and achieve successful business operations.

Lim Jin-hong Director of IIPTI remarked “We hope this education course will help enhance the compliance awareness and IP utilization capabilities of companies operating in both countries greatly benefiting their business activities. We will continue to expand cooperation with other countries to support successful business operations for Korean companies abroad.”
