A Stage for Revolutionary Innovation – G-Artience 2024 Connecting Week
Breaking away from traditional formalities G-Artience 2024 Connecting Week offers a stage for innovation and convergence without VIP seats honorary introductions or formal speeches. Instead it embraces creativity and collaboration.
From December 1 to 3 the event will be held at the Daejeon Convention Center and WIP Square. This international gathering aims to fuse science technology and cultural arts co-hosted by KAIST the Nam June Paik Art Center and the Daejeon Tourism Organization. It aspires to position Korea as a global TechArt hub through creative innovation and collaboration.
Far beyond being a mere festival this event is expected to serve as a starting point for designing the future through the integration of science and art drawing global attention and establishing Korea as a leader in the TechArt movement.
Juhaeng Lee: Breaking Barriers Between Data and Art
Juhaeng Lee CEO of Pebblous Inc. will take the stage as a Session 2 presenter at G-Artience 2024 Connecting Week. As a researcher artist and startup founder Lee has continuously challenged the boundaries between data and art with his diverse background.
After earning his PhD in computer engineering Lee worked as a principal researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) for 23 years focusing on artificial intelligence and data technology development. Motivated by the mission to bridge the gap between data and users he co-founded the startup Pebblous drawing inspiration from the beauty of small pebbles.
Pebblous has introduced innovative services that combine data technology with artistic sensibility. Notable examples include the Data Clinic which improves the quality of AI training data and Pebbloscope which visualizes large-scale data. These innovations go beyond practical applications reinterpreting data through art and proposing new possibilities.
Lee is also an accomplished artist having been an invited participant in the 2020 Daejeon Biennale and showcasing his work in over 10 exhibitions. His recent exhibit Tangible Data: From Data Nature to Data Civilization reimagined the flow and essence of data from an artistic perspective drawing significant attention.
