“A Stage for Disruptive Innovation” - G-Artience 2024 Connecting Week
The G-Artience 2024 Connecting Week has set a new standard by breaking away from traditional formalities. No VIP seats no formal introductions and no ceremonial speeches—just a stage where innovation and fusion take the spotlight.
Held from December 1 to 3 at the Daejeon Convention Center and WIP Square this international event aims to merge science technology and cultural arts. Co-hosted by KAIST the Nam June Paik Art Center and the Daejeon Tourism Organization the event embodies the vision of becoming a global hub for TechArt through creative innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
More than a celebration G-Artience 2024 serves as a launchpad to design the future through the fusion of science and art. With global attention this event is paving the way for South Korea to establish itself as a central player in TechArt innovation.
Kim Ho-Jin and the H-Art Project
At the age of 40 Kim Ho-Jin founder of the H-Art Project boasts over two decades of experience. Starting his career during university he has spearheaded various successful projects ranging from promotional events for the PyeongChang Olympics to media facade productions for Gwanghwamun and KT Headquarters. His solid field expertise is built on a foundation of diverse experiences.
Kim collaborates not only with experts from various artistic fields such as visual arts music and theater but also with technologists to create “multidimensional art programs.” These innovative projects integrate advanced technologies like AI and blockchain into performances and creations positioning his team as a leader in the field of fusion art.
Reviving Kim Kwang-Seok Through Holograms
The H-Art Project gained widespread recognition in 2015 for its holographic performance of the late singer Kim Kwang-Seok. At a time when AI and deepfake technologies were unavailable Kim boldly tackled the challenge of producing a 3D holographic concert. This groundbreaking project was showcased for free at the Théâtre Bondeau in Daegu over three years leaving a lasting impression on audiences.
At G-Artience 2024 Connecting Week the H-Art Project will debut a new piece utilizing “audio visualization” technology. During a performance of Debussy’s solo piano piece Clair de Lune immersive videos synchronized with the music will unfold on a massive LED screen providing audiences with a deeply engaging artistic experience.
AI and the Future of Fusion Art
Kim has recently filed a patent for the Venus Program pushing the boundaries of innovation. This groundbreaking technology generates paintings in the style of the legendary Korean artist Lee In-Sung by analyzing poems from Daegu’s renowned poet Lee Sang-Hwa. Remarkably the program achieves high accuracy even with minimal data.
As a self-sustained fusion creation organization the H-Art Project stands as a model of success. Kim has built his expertise from the ground up beginning with a passion for art during his school years. Collaborations with KAIST scientists and professors have further strengthened his capabilities.
At G-Artience 2024 Kim looks forward to engaging with domestic and international experts stating “It’s rare to meet people who truly bridge cultural arts and science. I hope this networking opportunity continues to thrive.” Kim Ho-Jin’s participation will play a pivotal role in exploring the future where fusion art and advanced technologies converge.
A Revolution Toward a Global TechArt Hub
Under the theme of blending science technology and cultural arts G-Artience 2024 reimagines the concept of an event. From the opening symphony displayed on a 75-meter LED screen to vision lectures and creative stages attendees will witness the extraordinary synergy of science and art.
Event highlights include AI avatar dances virtual idol EDM performances and collaborative projects by experts from 13 countries. These remarkable achievements position South Korea as a trailblazer in TechArt demonstrating bold steps toward becoming a global hub for this revolutionary field.
