A World Where Everyone Is a Creator – Tech-Art Vision of CEO Jang Soon-chul of Emotion Wave
Breaking Down the Boundaries Between Technology and Art: CEO Jang Soon-chul’s Story of Fusion G-Artians: Dreaming of Becoming a Global Platform
Emotion Wave is a company founded by artists proficient in technology and engineers who love art. Their goal is to lower the barriers to creativity through technology ultimately creating a world where everyone can be a creator. At the G-Artians 2024 Connecting Week CEO Jang Soon-chul of Emotion Wave captivated the audience by sharing his challenges and vision.
With a unique background in both computer science and music CEO Jang stated
“There is no need to strictly separate science and art in the creative process. It is important to consolidate all knowledge and experiences in order to achieve our goals.”
He believes that the convergence of science technology and cultural arts is a natural progression. “I grew up during a time when IT technology was rapidly advancing and in that context fusion felt natural. However as education separated these disciplines I began to wonder if we were artificially compartmentalizing them. Crossing these boundaries is challenging but it is a challenge that must be met.”
Regarding the future direction of G-Artians he remarked
“G-Artians should aim for globalization as a brand that embodies the commonality of technology and art. This brand which started in Korea should be expanded into branches and grown into a world-class event.”
He also emphasized the importance of networking:
“It is rare for researchers in technology and artists to meet. To spread examples of this fusion diverse networking events and global exchanges are necessary. Networking holds great value from a business perspective as well.”
CEO Jang’s ultimate goal is simple: “A future where everyone is a creator.” He added
“Creating something new and leaving a mark is one of the most beautiful endeavors for humanity. I hope that science technology and art will enrich people’s lives and spread positive influence.”
Looking ahead he plans to continue enhancing the value of a human-centered life through the fusion of science and art. “We will keep moving forward with the dream of a world where everyone can enjoy the joy of creation.”
