“AI Girl Group Beyond Reality” – An Interview with Pulse9 CEO Park Ji-eun and Eternity’s Lee Song-ha

Pulse9 is an AI graphics specialist company that produces AI-based content through its automated virtual character service called DEEP REAL AI. The company has formed a virtual girl group named “Eternity” presenting a new form of entertainment in which AI-generated characters sing and dance.

After completing their performance at G-Artians 2024 Connecting Week Pulse9 CEO Park Ji-eun and Lee Song-ha—who provides the voice for “Jane” in Eternity—sat down for a joint interview on December 2.

The Meaning and Expectations of G-Artians
CEO Park Ji-eun explained the significance of G-Artians 2024:

“AI is now playing a central role in the fields of entertainment and art. I believe G-Artians is very significant because it is the first official event showcasing this convergence. I expect the boundaries between entertainment and technology will continue to blur in the future.”

She also expressed her enthusiasm about the event’s potential as a global platform:

“Just having the keyword ‘global’ is something to be proud of. With our first event successfully underway I hope that next year even more international artists and audiences will participate making it an event recognized on the global stage.”

Stage Production and Performer Experiences
Regarding the stage production CEO Park Ji-eun positively evaluated the new approach:

“It was a new type of stage and the way it engaged with the audience was fun. Personally I think if the LED screen had been larger the visual impact would have been even more striking.”

Lee Song-ha who voices “Jane” in Eternity also shared his thoughts on the stage experience:

“I found the setup which allowed the audience to view the stage from all directions to be extremely fascinating. The atmosphere was very immersive and I truly enjoyed performing on stage. This kind of performance seems to bring great joy to both the performers and the audience.”

Pulse9’s innovative approach demonstrated the potential for convergence between AI entertainment and art. Like CEO Park and Lee Song-ha expressed there is a strong hope that G-Artians will grow into a global platform enabling AI-based art to reach a wider audience.

G-Artians 2024: Soaring as a Global Hub for Tech-Art

G-Artians 2024 Connecting Week was an international event held from December 1 to 3 2024 at the Daejeon Convention Center and WIP Square. The event offered a unique stage to showcase the fusion of science technology and cultural arts. Co-hosted by KAIST the Paik Nam June Art Center and the Daejeon Tourism Organization it was designed with the goal of evolving into a global hub for tech-art through creative innovation.

The interview took place on the second day of the event December 2 in the press room at the Daejeon Convention Center where various domestic and international speakers and stakeholders gathered to engage in in-depth discussions about the significance and achievements of the event.

Beyond mere fusion the event demonstrated a strong commitment to exploring new possibilities at the intersection of science technology and art with the aim of positively impacting future industries and society.
