LG CLOi Barista Robot commercialized early next year

On the 18th a ceremony was held at LG Science Park in Gangseo-gu Seoul with Noh Kyu-chan managing director of LG Electronics robot business and Lee Sang-kyu president of the Korea Coffee Association.

The Brewing Master is a private qualification test that evaluates the ability to produce optimal coffee through an understanding of coffee extraction tools and methods. The Korea Coffee Association recognized that the taste of coffee made by LG CLOi Baristabot is on par with the level made by the Brewing Master and awarded the Robot Brewing Master.

To this end LG Electronics applied various information related to hand drip coffee such as type of coffee beans degree of grinding water temperature or amount and extraction time to LG CLOi Baristabot. They also repeated optimization tests to make delicious coffee. Last month the company held a tasting event for executives and employees and received favorable reviews.

With the acquisition of the Brewing Masters certificate LGs CLOi Baristabot has secured confidence in the taste which is the essence of the F&B (Food and Beverage) business. This means that they can always provide the unique taste and rich aroma of coffee beans so that they can be used in full-scale business activities.

LG Electronics is planning to commercialize LG CLOi Baristabot at major LG Best Shop stores starting with LG Twin Tower in early 2021.
