Interview with a guest during the announcement of the foundation of the World Intellectual Property Portal WIP-News Expect to establish itself as WIP-News the center of global intellectual property promotion

From 3 pm to 8 pm on 10th the launch ceremony of WIP-News which is the world intellectual property portal was held around invited guests to reduce the number of attendees as much as possible to prevent the COVID-19.
Hereafter this is an interview with commissioner Park Jin-Ha the highest-level course member of KAIST intellectual property strategy.
Q1. Best intellectual property news selected by WIP-News is provided to readers as local languages through cooperative medias (such as newspapers broadcastings magazines etc.) in the world. In order to be called under the name of the world intellectual property news how many countries and people should subscribe to WIP-News?
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : Basically I think there must be 30 countries for the word “world” to be called and I also think there must be 10 million subscribers to become a global hub news.
Q2. Please tell us what is the greatest intellectual property you know that will be worth money.
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : I am sure that thing that I am going to tell is most valuable intellectual property. I believe that the easiest most convenient and simple intellectual property is the most valuable intellectual property such as briefs and clips. A phillips screwdriver for example was created by making a cross line when a straight screwdriver was broken and this company became a one of global companies that supports Germany.
Q3. Do you have any intellectual property such as copyrights or patents that you own?
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : I have patents more than copyrights. My patents are an explosion proof device for aerosol products that has not been discovered worldwide for 100 years a portable gas stove’s explosion proof device that Japan and Germany have not been able to develop and a fire prevention device for home gas stoves to prevent fires that could not been developed by Rinnai which was the world’s number one group.
Q4. WIP-News is planning to introduce great intellectual property to the world through live broadcasting. Could you introduce someone who is worthy to broadcast about intellectual property such as patent’s technology or copyright?
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : There may be intellectual property experts as well as inventors because technologies and products can be integrated with inventions. Thus I hope that it was a broadcast that the whole people could watch not only general business people.
Q5. What should our country do more to become a powerful intellectual property powerhouse?
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : First protection should be guaranteed. If intellectual property is not protected when it is created there are many infringers and the person who invented the technology will not succeed. Second promotion is the most important so that companies that actually use intellectual property rights can know. In Korea however 90% of intellectual properties are unknown so there are many patents those are undiscovered. That is promotion is important. In aspect of that I am anticipating and supporting WIP-News.
Q6. What if you express intellectual property as one sentence?
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : Knowledge is wealth. In the past visible assets buildings real estates and products became money. But now invisible knowledge becomes bigger assets than visible assets.
Q7. If you have anything to say for WIP-News which was created to easily inform about intellectual property and help Korea become an intellectual property hub state in the world please tell us
▶Commissioner Park Jin-Ha : As the Bible says your beginning will seem humble so prosperous will your future be there will be small or big difficulties I wish however Korea will overcome those difficulties well and become the hub state of intellectual property around the world as decided before. That is I hope Korea become the most important ecosystem in order to become the world’s intellectual property powerhouse and WIP-News will be a center of it strongly.
