Infineon launches welding diodes of high current and low temperature loss

Infineon Technologies (Seung-soo Lee Korea Managing Director) said We are releasing a new generation electric diode designed to be suitable for intermediate frequency resistance welding and high current rectifier applications.

The product meets the demand for high forward current low thermal conduction loss and high power cycling capacity and reduces the maintenance through providing the best performance for during product life. Major applications include spot welding in automobile field low-voltage electrolysis and surge protection.

The new welding diodes product offers the highest power cycling capacity in the industry. Compared to conventional products the On status voltage is lower and

allows 10-15% higher electric current. Therefore the customer can choose between longer product life and increased electric current of the application. These electrical diodes contain a variety of new features and provide full mechanical compatibility so that they can improve performance by immediately replacing the diodes from the existing design.
