CNIPA implements a trial program for rapid primary examination of utility models by the IP Rapid Protection Center

On January 25th of 2021 China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) had approved the implementation of a trial project for accelerated primary examination of utility models given by the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Center in Zhongshan China.

The Intellectual Property Rights Protection Center is the place where provides rapid primary screening and rights confirmation for small products and consumer goods that are designated with a fast product update cycle and high demand for protecting rights in the local industrial complexes in the region.

The Zhongshan Intellectual Property Rights Protection Center is the foremost in the nation for the expansion of the pre-examination service from designs to utility models.

● This is the initially founded nation’s rapid protection center which is designated for Intellectual Property Rights and established a system for the lighting industry in relating to rapid protection of Intellectual Property Rights.

● The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) had approved the design styles of lighting for Zhongshan Guzhen and it was originally introduced to the world through a keynote speech at the WIPO conference held in Geneva in 2019.

● As following to the development of the lighting industry in Zhongshan Guzhen given the applications of utility models from local companies as semiconductor and smart lightings and requests found for rapid examination as designs are annually increasing.

● Along with the ‘Notification on the Consolidating of the Intellectual Property Rights Rapid Protection Center Establishment project’ a trial project will be directed by CNIPA for the rapid primary examination of utility models in relating to the Intellectual Property Rights Rapid Protection Center which will be efficiently operated and meet the conditions by following to the application.

● The Zhongshan Intellectual Property Rights Protection Center look forward to plan for the improvements on the qualities of the local lighting industries by the implementation of a trial project in relating to the primary examination of utility models for the lighting ornamentation industry.
