The Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology (President : Young-Chang Joo from now on AICT) announced that it received an contract of Development of Personalized Diet Design Platform in the 2021 R&D Public Offering Project of Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs.

The task aims to integrate public organizations databases such as nutrition food etc necessary for personalized diet Design and develop personalized diet design algorithms that can recommend customized diet by consumer characteristics (life cycle disease genetic information preference etc.).

It is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of the next generation food industry having a positive impact on the related healthcare industry and accelerate the creation of commercialized models by establishing a Personalized diet design platform in cooperation with related institutions and companies to make companies and the consumers to use the database and the algorithms.

AICT (Principal investigator Senior researcher Seo-young Kim) will invent a personalized diet design platform with Selvas AI. Co. Ltd. in this project. The platform categorizes consumers by type so that they can get food recommendations and purchase it through the private shopping malls.

The Gyeonggi provincial demonstration is expected to involve a variety of industries including hospitals and food companies diagnostic bio-enterprises organic farming and distribution companies which are interested in personalized diet design.

AICT‘s XO center senior researcher Seo-young Kim said We will lead consumers to easily purchase food which are related to their types and support agricultural food and bio companies to develop personalized diet. and added The platform will be demonstrated in Gyeonggi-do first and it is expected that the platform will be spread out to the next generation personalized food industrial ecosystem.
