‘IP offices need to be pro-active in encouraging innovation’

The Executive Director Christian Archambeau reports on the record filing numbers over the first six months of 2021 and on future plans to support SMEs in partnership with other stakeholders including the Member State IP offices.
He stresses the importance of embracing technological change and adapting the workplace to face a future in which IP plays an even greater role in the innovation eco-system.
