① First-to-File Principle
An elected principal is to grant a patent to the first applicant for the same application.

② Territorial Principle
Territorial Principle refers to the principle of one patent for one country and it means that a patent should be applied in accordance with the laws and systems of the country that the applicant wants to apply for in the process of patent application and registration. Therefore the patent examination process is also carried out in accordance with the principles of the country of application and its exclusive effect is only effected within the country where the applicant has obtained the patent.
