Chungbuk Agricultural Research and Extension Services (Director General Seo Hyeong-ho) announced that it held the 1 Division 1 Patent Attorney Conference at the Creative Agriculture room of the organization on July 22nd to secure excellent digital agricultural technology and enhance on-site utilization.

The 1 Division 1 Patent Attorney system promoted on the day was for consulting on technology patents through consulting by a patent attorney dedicated to the R&D results of the organization. It aimed to enhance the competitiveness of the agricultural industry by linking creation commercialization and industrialization excellent technologies that have a high impact on the site.

The conference focused on discussing commercialization including data analysis methods using agricultural big data accumulated for the development of digital agriculture and securing intellectual property rights on the development of crop growth prediction models.

The preoccupation of patent technology for the establishing information service infrastructure related to digital agricultural technology is a future agricultural technology that will help stabilize supply and demand of agricultural products and improve the quality of them. Therefore continuous consulting is going to be requested for drawing the immediate on-site utilization means. In addition it plans to expand constructing its foundation of commercialization by expanding technical support for tasks related to intellectual property rights solving difficulties and prioritizing technologies with high on-site utilization in various agricultural fields such as food horticulture and food product.

Dr. Park Jung-mi of Crop Research Division of Agricultural Research and Extension Service of the province said The conference was a great help to set up patent technique for the collection and construction of big data in digital agriculture with dedicated patent attorneys. From now on we will further contribute to agricultural development focusing on laying the foundation for the digital agricultural industry by securing information base intellectual property rights. Meanwhile the Agricultural Research and Extension Service of the province has been collecting and managing smart greenhouse data since 2018 to build an data ecosystem of agricultural technology. Since 2020 it has been expanded to the bare ground crops and livestock and the organization is developing a data-based prediction model to support farmers decision-making.
