“It matches skin color by race” Kolmar develops 35 colors of foundation

Liquid foundations expressible 35 different skin colors developed by Kolmar

Kolmar announced on the 8th that they have completed the development of liquid foundations with various 35 options of color and brightness for all the race in the world which means not only domestic consumers but also overseas consumers can choose the color of foundations depends on their tastes.

Liquid foundation which is a base make-up product typically need to raise its content of color powder for darker colors. However there are some drawbacks of patching problem that causes rough and cakey texture as the more powder content included. Kolmar solved this patching problem by developing its own manufacturing system stabilizing dispersion of powder evenly. They succeeded in expanding basic 18 colors to 35 colors after about 10 months of research and development.

They strengthened its consistency as reflecting the needs from domestic and overseas consumers for routinized wearing masks. They prevented the smudging problems from external impact by using film formers that have strong fixation power.

The product has entered the American market in which is the world’s biggest cosmetics market through global client company in last February and is planning to make inroads into European markets following the American market.

Kolmar officials said “We will strive for developing new products by reflecting consumers’ needs to lead the markets as a leading company in global cosmetics markets not only in Korea.”

Meanwhile Korea Kolmar lately opened ‘Make-up Studio’ where consumers can meet the brand-new color cosmetics all at once on the first floor of the Institute of Technology. This place designed for flagship store concept that regular consumers test the products and purchase it has about 200 color make-up products displayed such as base make-up eye make-up and lip make-up products.
